About Chocolabo

What is "Chocolabo"?
In 2012, "CHOCOLABO" was established in Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama, as the first welfare-based chocolate-specialized studio in Japan. Today, over 100 staff members work across the group, with approximately 60% holding disability certificates. Through the manufacturing and sale of sweets, each person utilizes their strengths and unique characteristics to expand their sphere of activity. The sweets created by hand at Chocolabo reflect the individuality of each maker.

The vision behind "Chocolabo"
Mr. Noriyuki Ito, CEO of the Chocolabo Group, started the chocolate studio because he had a son with a disability. Wishing to change the situation where there were few workplaces for people with disabilities and wage levels were low, he left his corporate job to start his own business and established Chocolabo.
With a corporate philosophy of "contributing to society by creating a system where everyone—people with disabilities, non-disabled people, and the elderly—can respect each other equally, build an inclusive community, and experience richness in both material and spiritual aspects," the company has successfully created jobs and increased wages for people with disabilities.
Now, Chocolabo is coming to KDX Toyosu Grand Square! Whether for donations or as gifts for loved ones, we invite you to consider Chocolabo's sweets, each crafted with care as a "Cause Marketing Gift—a product you choose because it has a purpose."
